Minister: Fire at Belgorod oil base not to hurt retail fuel prices

MOSCOW, Apr 1 (PRIME) -- The fire at a Belgorod-based oil base of Russian oil major Rosneft will not impact the retail prices for fuel and fuel provision of the region thanks to the help of neighboring regions if necessary, Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said in a Telegram channel on Friday.

“The fire at the Belgorod Region’s oil base will not hurt fuel provision of the region and the prices for customers,” he said.

A fire broke out at eight fuel tanks at the oil base early on Friday. The Belgorod Region’s Governor said the base had been hit by two Ukrainian helicopters. A representative of Rosneft told PRIME that no one was hurt.
